5.10 impact

If you ride downhill, freeride, dirt jumps or skate parks you know you need your feet stuck tight to the pedals at all times, except of course when your bike disagrees with you on which way you should be going. It's when you need to get away from that tumbling piece of metal that being clipped in seems to have been the wrong choice. So what's the solution flat shoes just don't stick that good especially when it gets dirty, wet and muddy, and you know getting wrapped up in your bike hurts just as bad as the ground. Well the answer to this problem comes from a family owned company that has made its self known through rock climbing and there proprietary stealth rubber compound. This compound has become so popular in fact that 99.9% of all performance shoe resoling is done with stealth rubber.
When the company designed the Impact shoe for mountain biking sales were slim due to cross country riders were all getting into spd's at the time. Sales were so bad in fact they nearly stopped producing the shoe a few years ago, but then the emerging freeride and downhill scene got ahold of them. The shoe being super sturdy and able to grab the pedals in all conditions along with 5.10's shock absorbing insoles are just what these bikers had been looking for. These shoes are now worn by world cup downhill champs, freeride legends and dirt jump jam winners all over the world.
I laced on a pair of these a while ago and will never ride anything else again. Sturdy and sticky is the only way to describe these shoes, no matter how high how fast or how muddy i get my feet are always were I left them. Also they have everything a good shoe should have:
  • sturdy insole
  • leather upper
  • s1 stealth rubber sole
  • world cup stripes
  • an outline of Australia
  • and snakeskin
  • oh yeh they come in black to
